Licence

In order to ensure the high quality of work on the Orff Schulwerk, the foundation introduced a licence in 2020. Orff® and Orff Schulwerk® are registered trademarks of the Carl Orff Foundation. An Orff® licence can be awarded as a seal of quality to institutions and projects that meet the COS quality criteria. It means that you may use the Orff® and Orff-Schulwerk® trademarks on your website, in your programmes, teaching materials and on certificates. It distinguishes your institution or project as working in accordance with the generally applicable quality criteria of the Carl Orff Foundation as the legal successor to Carl Orff.

Orff Schulwerk societies, Orff Schulwerk projects or music schools that work with the Orff Schulwerk can download the quality criteria (german | englishand apply for a licence.

The foundation maintains close contact and lively exchange with its licensed institutions, which will receive preferential support from the Carl Orff Foundation from 2025 onwards. Become a licensed member of our Orff community with your institution.
