The study of Carl Orff

After Carl Orff's death in 1982, his wife left his study in its original condition. Even today, the room exudes a very special atmosphere. It almost feels as if Carl Orff has just left the room, pipe in hand.

Orff spent almost the entire day here, holding meetings and experimenting with instruments and sounds. He kept all his sketches in the drawer of his sofa. His extensive library provides insight into his diverse interests – it opens a window into Carl Orff's cosmos: from ancient Greece to fairy tales and music from all eras and countries to the Bavarian zither.
